Major Women’s Health Social Enterprise Launches International Writing Competition
The Hysterectomy Association, the UK’s leading organisation for women having a hysterectomy, today announced the launch of a brand new International Writing Competition.
The competition is open to any female writers of short stories and poetry. Top winners will each receive a cash prize of £400 and publication. A further nine winners in each category will also have their entries included in a brand new anthology titled Hysteria 2012 to be published by Crystal Clear Books in association with The Hysterectomy Association.
The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on 31st August 2012 and the entry fee is £5.00 per submission.
Entrants should visit www.hysterectomy-association.org.uk to find out more and to make an entry. Entrants can submit work in any genre with the exception of Horror and Erotica.
Linda Parkinson-Hardman, Author and Founder of the Hysterectomy Association said “this is a brilliant opportunity for unknown women’s voices to step forward and be heard. We plan to make this an annual event and to regularly champion women’s fiction and poetry to both our members and the broader reading public”.
Hysteria 2012 will be available to purchase from November 2012 in all online bookstores and from the Hysterectomy Association website.
All winning entries will also be published on the Hysterectomy Association and Crystal Clear Books websites.
